Hey Apes, meant to get the BAYC x MAYC Mobile Game Competition leaderboard out last night but we’ve been having a pretty crazy weekend. Leaderboard and some other updates below!

1. BAYC x MAYC Mobile Game Competition — Final Leaderboard

A massive thank you to everyone who helped make the BAYC x MAYC Mobile Game Competition a success. We got rugged pretty hard there by Apple in December, but in the end we had thousands of Apes and Mutants battling through the sewers and were able to allow an even broader audience to experiment with the game. And we learned a LOT in the process.

On the leaderboard: Two players were found to have cheated and both were excluded from the final leaderboard (oddly, neither landed above rank 250). There were a handful of other accounts that were flagged for suspicious activity, however we had insufficient evidence to prove conclusively that any of these accounts were cheating. In order to be fair to any false positives, we have decided to extend the prize tiers by the appropriate number of users (note: There was only one suspicious account in the top 50, and 4 in the top 100). See below for the final prize tiers:

-1st Place: The BAYC Pinball Machine (a custom-built arcade piece)

-Top 50: BAYC Bronze-Cast Statuette

-Top 102: Artisan-Made BAYC Bong

-Top 256: Trippy Captain’s Hat

-Top 1000: Curtis Plush Toy

-1st Place: The Mutant Mobile (Converted 2002 Honda Accord decked out in MAYC regalia)

-Top 51: MAYC Sewer Grate Sculpt

-Top 102: Mutant Ape Beer Stein

-Top 254: Trash-Scented Candle

-Top 1000: “Drink It” Mutant Serum Tee

See below for the top 200 of each leaderboard, and click here for a spreadsheet of the entire top 1k for each game. BAYC and MAYC final leaderboards are on different tabs.

Note, if you placed on the leaderboard for a prize, there’s nothing else you need to do. We’ll be shipping to the address we have on file for you. Production on the prizes is ongoing, and will take some time because supply chains are a huge mess right now. We’ll give periodic updates as these ship out; most prizes are anticipated to ship in March.

2. APE FEST 2022

NFT.NYC moved up their dates, and so it only felt right to us to move up APE FEST 2022 as well. We’ve locked in a sick venue in downtown Manhattan for four days — June 20th-23rd.

More to share as we get closer to the date, but wanted to let the community know about the dates so those interested can get a head start on travel plans. We want to go all out for this.

We’ve been growing here at Yuga Labs. We’ve almost quadrupled our staff over the past month, and it feels great. Over the next weeks and months, you’ll be seeing more and more new faces. That said, we wanted to more formally introduce a few people that have been part of the team for a while now:

V Strange — Partner and Co-CEO, Yuga Labs (@VStrangeYUGA on Twitter)
Pez — Partner and Chief Creative Officer, Yuga Labs (@PezYUGA on Twitter)
Soda — Chief Operating Officer, Yuga Labs (@SodaOPS on Twitter)

P.S. — The header image for this post? That’s something else… Can’t talk about that, Gordo will get mad.
